LAKEWOOD: Familiar face fills Clover Park School Board vacancy

December 16, 2013

The Clover Park School Board will fill a vacancy created by the November resignation of District 1 representative Jose Salamanca with a former member of the board.

Walt Kellcy, a Lakewood resident since 1991 and pastor of First Baptist Church, previously served 10 years on the board. He and his wife Martha raised three boys, all graduates of Clover Park schools.

Kellcy is scheduled to take the oath of office Jan. 13. He will fill Salamanca’s unexpired term, until the next regular school district election in November 2015.
