The girl who craves a different kind of buzz, Lorde, is coming to Seattle’s WaMu Theater on March 24, it was announced today. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

The 17-year-old singer from New Zealand just received four Grammy nominations for “Record of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Best Pop Solo Performance” and “Best Pop Vocal Album.”

Lorde’s single “Royals” has been on the Billboard Hot 100 at #1 for nine weeks. Also known as Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor, she’s the youngest artist to top the chart since 1987.

Lorde, who writes all of her own songs, begins her 16-date North American tour in Austin. On December 6 she performed at the annual Grammy Nomination Concert.
