Recap: Tulane vs. Washington

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - C.J. Wilcox scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for the Washington Huskies, who defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 73-62, in a non-conference duel at Devlin Fieldhouse.

Perris Blackwell and Nigel Williams-Goss each added 12 points and Mike Anderson chipped in 10 for Washington (6-4), which won its second straight game and fourth in the last five outings.

Jonathan Stark netted a game-high 25 points for Tulane (5-6), shooting 8-of-16 from the floor and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line. Louis Dabney joined Stark in double figures with 16 points, but Tulane still fell for the sixth time in the last seven games.

During the first half Washington shot at a 56-percent clip, including a 6-of-12 showing from 3-point range. With Tulane connecting on just 32.1 percent from the floor, the Huskies were able to take a 41-32 lead into the break.

The Huskies only had eight field goals in the final 20 minutes but they outscored the Green Wave, 15-4, from the free-throw line to hold on for the win.

Washington had a 37-27 edge on the boards and held the Green Wave to a mere .393 shooting effort overall.
