Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Seven different players scored in double figures for Marquette, as the Golden Eagles trampled the Ball State Cardinals, 91-53, in a non-conference matchup at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Chris Otule finished with 14 points and four blocks for Marquette (7-4). Jamil Wilson added 13 points, Jajuan Johnson and Deonte Burton chipped in 12 apiece, and Davante Gardner and Juan Anderson each had 10 points for the Golden Eagles.
Zavier Turner netted 16 points and Mark Alstork tacked on 11 for Ball State (2-6) in the losing effort.
Marquette knocked down 51.4 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half and led 42-24 at the break. Ball State made good on only 38.5 percent from the field during the stanza.
The Golden Eagles continued to shoot well, connecting on 57.7 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes to cruise to victory.
A massive 56-16 scoring advantage in the paint, 30 points off turnovers, and a 22-6 edge in points at the foul line all helped Marquette's cause.
