Knoxville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Warren had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, as the NC State Wolfpack defeated the Tennessee Volunteers, 65-58, in a non-conference contest at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Anthony Barber scored 12 points and added four assists for the Wolfpack (8-2), who have won six straight. Desmond Lee chipped in 10 points, while BeeJay Anya made an impact on the defensive end with five blocks.

Jordan McRae led the Volunteers (6-4) with 21 points. Jeronne Maymon (17 points, 16 rebounds) and Jarnell Stokes (10 points, 13 rebounds) both posted double-doubles in the setback.

NC State took a 37-20 lead into the break because of Tennessee's poor shooting. The Volunteers shot 24.1 from the field and missed all nine of their 3-point attempts in the first half. The Wolfpack went 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and made 50 percent of their field goal tries overall.

The Wolfpack struggled a bit in the second half, only shooting 37.5 percent from the field, but Tennessee continued its shooting woes (.333) as NC State held on.

NC State played well inside, holding a 36-26 edge in points in the paint. The visitors never trailed in the game.
