Pierce County burn ban lifted

Staff writerDecember 26, 2013

A burn ban for Pierce County was lifted Thursday, officials said.

The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency said the stage 1 air quality burn ban was lifted for Pierce, King and Snohomish counties as of 11 a.m.

The ban started 5 p.m. Christmas Day due to increasingly stagnant air and building pollution, the agency said.
