8 residents displaced by Kent apartment fire

An Kent apartment fire displaced eight residents early Sunday.

Firefighters and police responded to a report of smoke shortly after 1 a.m. in the 9700 block of South 248 Street.

Officers arrived and helped evacuate residents from the building. Firefighters found the blaze in the floor and wall spaces of the building.

No one was injured.

Four units were damaged, displacing six adults and two children.

The fire was still being investigated Sunday.
