Tacoma woman makes historic win on 'The Price is Right,' takes home $157,300 car

A Tacoma woman on Monday became one of the biggest winners in the history of TV’s “The Price is Right” game show.

Sheree L. Heil won an Audi R8 V8 Spyder Quattro S Tronic, a vehicle worth $157,300. That made her the biggest daytime “Price is Right” winner. (The show has had special prime time episodes.)

An early version of the game show premiered in 1972. Drew Carey took over for longtime host Bob Barker in 2007.

Heil won playing Gas Money, a game that requires the participant to guess by elimination which of five vehicle prices is the actual cost. Heil eliminated all the incorrect prices, which won her the car and $10,000.

She ran around the stage when she won, before hopping into the black convertible.

Heil couldn’t be reached Monday for an interview.

The show has another local connection. Model Amber Lancaster, born in Tacoma, joined “The Price is Right” in 2008, after five years cheering on the Seattle Seahawks with the Sea Gals.
