B y the numbers That is the approximate weight in tons of marine debris taken off Washington’s coastal beaches during three cleanups in 2013 led by Washington CoastSavers. That is about equal to the weight of 12 Mini Coopers. More than 1,200 volunteers took part in the Washington Coast Cleanup, the Point Grenville Cleanup and the International Coastal Cleanup this year.
