A head-on crash just north of Edgewood critically injured three people Sunday, including a 4-year-old girl, King County Sheriff's spokeswoman Cindi West said.

The crash happened about 1:45 p.m. the 37200 block of Military Road South, when a minivan headed north and an SUV headed south on Military Road crashed, West said.

She said the 4-year-old girl and her father were in the SUV, and that two adults were in the minivan, but she didn't immediately know their genders or ages.

Both occupants of the minivan and the child in the SUV were transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, West said. The man in the SUV was not injured, she said.

The road was closed as crews investigated.

The cause of wreck was still being determined, West said.

Further details were not immediately available.
