Laramie, WY (SportsNetwork.com) - Cameron Bairstow scored 15 points, leading four players in double figures, as the New Mexico Lobos captured a 72-69 win in overtime against the Wyoming Cowboys in Mountain West Conference action at Arena Auditorium.

Alex Kirk and Cleveland Thomas both tallied 12 points for the Lobos (11-3, 2-0 MWC), followed by Kendall Williams with 10 points, although the latter shot just 4-of-16 from the floor on the night.

The Cowboys (9-6, 0-2) were paced by Riley Grabau who dropped in a game-high 24 points, shooting a perfect 10-of-10 at the free-throw line. Nathan Sobey contributed 16 points and Josh Adams 12 as the team lost a second straight outing.

UNM led by as many as eight points in the first half, but with the Cowboys converting 52 percent from the field in the period, the visitors managed to stay ahead by just two points at the break, 33-31.

With 7.6 seconds remaining in regulation and the Cowboys trailing by two, 64-62, Grabau was fouled by Hugh Greenwood and made a pair of free throws to knot the score. Williams had a chance to win the game for UNM, but his 3- pointer at the buzzer came up short.

In the extra session Grabau again had a chance to play the hero in the final seconds, but his 3-point attempt with the Cowboys trailing by three missed the mark.

Wyoming, which was beaten on the glass by a 37-31 margin, logged just five offensive rebounds in the meeting.
