Iris Lilley is new Orting School Board member

Tacoma News TribuneJanuary 9, 2014

The Orting School Board has chosen 13-year Orting resident Iris Lilley to fill a board seat left vacant by the resignation of David Egts, who is relocating to Arizona.

Lilley will take the seat in the school district's Director District 3. Her appointment runs through November 2015. At that time, the position will be on the ballot for a four-year term, the district announced.

Lilley is a paralegal who provides legal services for Microsoft.

The Orting School Board held a special meeting Wednesday to interview three applicants for the vacancy. At that same meeting, the board voted to appoint Lilley. She was sworn into office at the board's regular meeting on Thursday.
