Evergreen Tacoma offers grant-writing workshop

The Evergreen State College Tacoma will offer a one-day, entry-level workshop on grant writing.

The workshop, taught by municipal leader and educator Elton Gatewood, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Tacoma campus, 1210 Sixth Ave.

The workshop is aimed at neighborhood activists, non-profit groups, school districts, faith-based organizations and others. Gatewood retired from the city of Tacoma after 37 years as founder and administrator of the city's neighborhood council program.
