Will Calif. Gov. Jerry Brown take Jay Inslee’s game bet?

OlympianJanuary 13, 2014

Reporters asked Gov. Jay Inslee on Monday if he'd made a bet with California Gov. Jerry Brown over next Sunday's big NFL championship game between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.

"Not yet," the Washington governor replied, engaging in a mild version of the trash talk that is common in the professional game. "But I think it'll either be one cup of Ivar's clam chowder to 100 pounds of Ghirardelli chocolate or to make it fair one bottle of Washington wine to two bottles of California wine. Those are equal value. Go Hawks!''

Ouch. Should be interesting to see what Brown offers - besides giving advice on how to pass a tax package

Inslee won his bet last weekend with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal after the Seahawks held off the New Orleans Saints by a 23-15 margin.
