Morning update: Session Day 3

Two bills relating to the regulation of medical marijuana will receive public hearings Wednesday in the Legislature:

  • House Bill 2149 to require the Department of Health to create a work group to develop practice guidelines for medical professionals prescribing medical marijuana will be heard by the House Health Care and Wellness Committee at 8 a.m.
  • House Bill 2198 to provide tax exemptions for medical marijuana patients will go before the House Finance Committee at 6 p.m.
In the Senate, the Law and Justice committee will hear Senate Bill 6010, which would make possession of one to 10 altered or shaved keys a gross misdemeanor. The public hearing will be at 1:30 p.m.
