Meet Annaliese Davis, our legislative reporting intern

Tacoma News TribuneJanuary 15, 2014

The News Tribune and The Olympian partner every year with the University of Washington journalism program to add a student to our statehouse reporting ranks.

This year's intern is Annaliese Davis, a UW senior and South Sound native. Davis is a graduate of Life Christian Academy and received an associate degree from Tacoma Community College in 2012. She knows her way around the Capitol, having worked last year as a nonpartisan policy intern. Her mother, Maria Davis, lives in Fircrest.

The UW program allows us to cover more ground for readers during the legislative session while (we hope) giving students valuable on-the-ground experience. Davis is working in our office on the Capitol campus. You'll be seeing her work on our website and in print. You can also follow her on Twitter.

The News Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
