Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Anthony Brown and Josh Huestis each scored 15 points to lead the Stanford Cardinal as they trampled the Washington State Cougars 80-48 in a Pac-12 joust at Maples Pavilion.
Marcus Allen chipped in 11 points off the bench and Dwight Powell finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Stanford (11-5, 2-2 Pac-12), which has won back-to-back games.
Que Johnson tallied a game-high 21 points and Royce Woolridge finished with 13 for Washington State (8-9, 1-4), which has lost four of its last five.
The Cardinal led 40-29 at halftime. They shot 56.5 percent from the floor in the first period, including a 6-of-11 showing from beyond the arc. The Cougars knocked down 44.4 percent in the frame.
After the break the Cardinal improved to 58.6 percent shooting, while holding the Cougars to 29.6 percent, as they coasted to victory.
Stanford owned a 34-12 advantage on scoring in paint and a 37-23 edge on the boards.
