Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions have added former Kansas State head coach Ron Prince to Jim Caldwell's staff.

Prince will serve as tight ends coach and assistant head coach for Caldwell in Detroit. The two were together in Indianapolis when Caldwell was the head coach of the Colts.

Prince was the assistant offensive line coach for Caldwell in 2010-11. He spent the 2013 season back in college as the offensive coordinator at Rutgers and was last in the NFL in 2012 as assistant offensive line coach.

From 2006-08, Prince compiled a record of 17-20 as head coach at Kansas State. He took over after Bill Snyder retired and his dismissal led to Snyder's return.
