Recap: Stanford vs. Washington

Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chasson Randle scored 33 points to lift the Stanford Cardinal to a 79-67 victory over the Washington Huskies in a Pac-12 battle at Maples Pavilion.

Dwight Powell (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Josh Huestis (13 points, 10 rebounds) each had double-doubles for Stanford (12-5, 3-2 Pac-12), which has won three straight.

Nigel Williams-Goss finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Washington (11-8, 3-3), which has lost back-to-back games. Shawn Kemp Jr. added 13 points off the bench.

During the first half Stanford shot 54.2 percent from the floor, which was a bit better than the 48.5 percent effort from Washington. The Cardinal also had a 14-3 edge from the free-throw line and led 41-36 at the break.

The Cardinal connected on 54.2 percent from the floor yet again in the second half, while Washington fell further behind, netting 37.5 percent from the field.

Stanford's 24-6 scoring advantage from the free-throw line proved to be the difference, as it finished with fewer total field goals (28-26) and 3-pointers (5-3) than the Huskies.
