Moraga, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Brad Waldow tallied 27 points and 10 rebounds as the Saint Mary's Gaels trampled the Loyola Marymount Lions 89-61 in West Coast Conference play at McKeon Pavilion.
Kerry Carter and Jordan Giusti each finished with 15 points for Saint Mary's (15-5, 6-2 WCC), which has won six of its last seven.
Anthony Ireland and Gabe Levin each recorded 17 points for Loyola Marymount (11-11, 3-7), which has lost seven of its last eight.
The Gaels broke out to a 42-24 lead at the half by shooting 47.1 percent from the floor, including a 5-of-11 showing from beyond the arc, in the first stanza. The Lions had only nine field goals in the period.
After the break the Gaels knocked down 54.2 percent from the floor and 18- of-20 at the free-throw line, as they coasted to victory.
The Gaels scored 20 points off of turnovers and had a 32-7 edge in points off the bench.
