Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Fuquan Edwin scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Seton Hall Pirates to an 89-69 triumph over the DePaul Blue Demons in a Big East joust at the Prudential Center.
Edwin drained 11-of-16 shots from the floor as the only player in double figures for Seton Hall (12-8, 3-4 Big East), which had lost four of its previous five.
Brandon Young tallied 23 points to pace DePaul (10-11, 2-6), which has lost three straight. R.J. Curington chipped in 15 points and Durrell McDonald finished with 14.
The Pirates claimed a 45-25 lead at halftime by shooting 62.1 percent from the floor while holding the Blue Demons to 34.6 percent. Seton Hall also had a 15-3 scoring edge from beyond the arc in the period.
After the break DePaul improved to 48.3 percent shooting, but it was not enough to put more than a dent in the deficit, as Seton Hall sank an even 50 percent in the frame.
Seton Hall had sizable scoring advantages in the paint (44-28) and off of turnovers (21-8).
