Recap: Wyoming vs. Nevada

Laramie, WY (SportsNetwork.com) - Larry Nance, Jr. scored the game-winning basket with three seconds left, as the Wyoming Cowboys won a thrilling 64-62 overtime contest over the Nevada Wolf Pack in Mountain West Conference action at Arena-Auditorium.

Nance, Jr. tallied a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Riley Grabau had 13 points for the Cowboys (13-6, 4-2 MWC), who won their fourth straight decision. Josh Adams added 12 points and four assists.

Deonte Burton finished with 25 points for the Wolf Pack (10-10, 5-2). Jerry Evans, Jr. chipped in 14 points and Michael Perez had 11. AJ West cleared seven rebounds.

Wyoming made just 36.4 percent of its first-half field goal attempts but held a 25-22 lead at the break. Nevada shot 47.1 percent from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, but attempted five fewer shots than Wyoming.

The Wolf Pack connected on 45.8 percent of their field goal tries in the second period, including 6-of-13 from beyond the arc. The Cowboys drained 61.9 percent of their shots from the floor but only made 1-of-2 from behind the 3- point line. With 25 seconds left, Adams made a free-throw to tie the game at 54. Burton missed a 3-pointer as time expired and the game went overtime.

Evans, Jr. tied the game up at 62 with 33 seconds left in the extra frame after hitting a jumper, but with just three ticks left on the clock, Nance, Jr. made a bucket to give the Cowboys the win.

Wyoming dominated play inside, as it outscored the Wolf Pack 34-20 in the paint.
