Pullman, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jason Calliste poured in 20 points off the bench, as the Oregon Ducks easily dismissed the Washington State Cougars, 71-44, in Pac-12 Conference action at Beasley Coliseum.
Calliste shot 8-of-10 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range for Oregon (14-5, 2-5 Pac-12), which snapped its five-game losing streak. Joseph Young pitched in with 10 points for the visitors, while Mike Moser tallied nine points and nine rebounds.
For Washington State (8-12, 1-7), losers of four straight, Que Johnson led the way with nine points.
Oregon shot 46.2 percent from the field in the first half, but more impressively it held Washington State to a mere 21.1 percent shooting, as it led at intermission, 30-17.
The trends continued in the second half, with the Ducks shooting 45.2 percent from the floor and the Cougars just 25 percent. Oregon led by as many as 35 in the blowout victory.
Oregon dominated inside, winning the rebounding battle, 43-24, and outscoring Washington State in the paint, 28-2.
