A 29-year-old Federal Way man was arrested by the State Patrol Tuesday for dealing “large amounts of sexually explicit material involving minors,” the agency said.
The man was taken into custody without incident Tuesday.
“The investigation originated after detectives discovered files containing known child pornography were being traded across the internet,” State Patrol spokesman Sergeant James Mjor said in a statement. “Upon further investigation, a search warrant was issued and directed detectives to a residence in Federal Way.
The warrant was served Tuesday morning. Another man was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
“During the search warrant, detectives seized digital media devices from the residence,” Mjor said. “A forensic preview of some of the devices confirmed the presence of illegal images.”
The 29-year-old was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of dealing and possessing child pornography.
