Police seek suspect in Kent sexual assault

A woman was sexually assaulted Monday afternoon in Kent and police are asking for the public’s help finding the attacker.

The attack happened about 3:30 p.m. in the 23800 block of 30th Avenue South.

The suspect approached the victim with a weapon and forced her into a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

Investigators described the attacker as a short black man in his 20s to 30s with a slender build.

He was last seen wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Kent police at 253-856-5808.
