Comedy fundraiser for education group

Tacoma News TribuneJanuary 29, 2014

Locally based education non-profit The Ducere Group, which hopes to open a charter school called The Village Academy, will host a benefit evening Thursday at the Tacoma Comedy Club, 933 Market St.

A state review panel failed to recommend the group's proposed charter school for approval this year, but organizers say they plan to re-submit their application and hope to open the academy as a charter school in the future.

Thursday night's benefit gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Tacoma Comedy Club. For more information, click here.
