Crews put out house fire in Fife

Staff writerJanuary 29, 2014

Firefighters put out a blaze Wednesday night near Valley Avenue East and 54th Avenue East in Fife.

Crews arrived about 7:20 p.m. to find about 25-percent of the single-story home involved in the fire, Tacoma Fire said.

No one was injured, and as of about 9 p.m., crews had put out the fire and were working on remaining hot spots.

It appeared someone has been in the process of moving out of the home, so no one was inside at the time, Tacoma Fire said.

The cause of the fire had not been determined.
