GAME NOTES: The Chattanooga Mocs look to continue their dominance over the Southern Conference as they visit Belk Arena to battle the Davidson Wildcats.

Chattanooga improved to 8-0 in the league standings on Saturday with a 77-67 victory over UNC Greensboro. The Mocs have now won 10 games in a row overall, giving them their longest winning streak since the 1996-97 campaign. Coach Will Wade's team is ranked 37th nationally in points per game at 78.5 and has been held under the 70-point mark just once during its current winning streak. UTC shot 47.1 percent from the floor and converted 24-of-33 attempts at the charity stripe versus UNCG to keep its SoCon record unblemished.

Coach Bob McKillop's Wildcats are in sole possession of second place in the conference standings with a 6-1 SoCon record. Davidson coasted to an 82-52 win over Georgia Southern its last time out to extend its own winning streak to three. The Wildcats owned a 30-9 scoring edge from beyond the arc and a 46-26 advantage on the glass in their win over the Eagles.

This will be the 57th meeting in history between these schools on the hardwood. UTC owns a 32-24 all-time record versus the Wildcats. Davidson has come out of 12 of the past 13 matchups in the rivalry victorious. This will be the only regular season tilt between these programs in 2013-14.

Casey Jones scored 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting for the Mocs in their . Mason tacked on 15 points, while Martynas Bareika added 12 points and Ronrico White chipped in 11. Mason is ranked third in the SoCon in scoring with 18.8 ppg and also paces the conference with 9.5 rpg. The 6-foot-6 senior forward had registered a double-double in three straight games before having his streak snapped by UNCG. Mason is also blocking 2.9 shots per game to serve as the anchor to UTC's interior defense. White is averaging 12.1 ppg, while Jones (11.6 ppg) and Gee McGhee (10.3 ppg) are also carrying double-digit scoring averages at this point in the season.

Davidson is averaging 81.6 points while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range in conference matchups. Former SoCon Player of the Year De'Mon Brooks is having another stellar campaign while serving as the Wildcats' go-to-guy on the offensive end. The 6-7 swingman is producing 17.6 ppg to go along with 6.9 rpg. Brian Sullivan is chiming in with 12.5 ppg while Tom Droney (11.3 ppg) and Tyler Kalinoski (11.1 ppg) are also scoring in double figures with some consistency. Brooks and Sullivan netted 21 points apiece for Davidson in its rout of GSU. Kalinoski added 10 points and eight boards in the triumph.

Although UTC has been sensational since entering the conference portion of its slate, the Wildcats have been the class of the SoCon for some time now. Davidson has won 25 of its last 26 conference games at home dating back to the 2010-11 campaign and is 20-5 in the month of January over the past three seasons. The Wildcats are capable of ending the Mocs' quest for perfection if Sullivan and Brooks continue to fill it up with ease.
