Recap: Southern Miss vs. Tulane

Hattiesburg, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Michael Craig registered a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, as the Southern Miss Golden Eagles rolled past the Tulane Green Wave, 78-47, in a Conference USA clash at Reed Green Coliseum.

Chip Armelin and Daveon Boardingham each had 11 points for the Golden Eagles (19-3, 6-1 C-USA), who extended their winning streak to five games. Neil Watson chipped in 10 points.

Louis Dabney tallied 14 points and six rebounds for the Green Wave (11-11, 3-4), who lost their second consecutive contest. Jonathan Stark scored 11 points for the visitors.

Southern Miss made 32 percent of its shots from the floor in the first period but went 17-of-21 from the free-throw line, as it led 35-23 at the break. Tulane shot 41.2 percent on field goal attempts but attempted eight fewer shots than Southern Miss.

The Golden Eagles drained 63 percent of their shots from the field in the second frame as they coasted to an easy win.

Southern Miss dominated the glass, as they outrebounded Tulane, 40-19.
