Crews will close on-ramps this week for both state Route 705 and state Route 16 in Tacoma.
The East 26th Street on-ramp to SR 705 will close between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for tree removal. The work will give a clearer view of the highway for traffic cameras in the area run by the state Department of Transportation, the agency said.
Traffic will be detoured to Pacific Avenue and state Route 509.
Monday through Thursday, the South Sprague Avenue on-ramp to westbound state Route 16 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen 6 a.m. the next morning.
The closure will allow crews to landscape above the highway, WSDOT said.
Traffic will be detoured to South Union Avenue.
