February 3, 2014

A team from Spanaway Middle School recently took fourth place in the Washington State National Engineers Week Future City Competition at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

The competition invites sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders across the country to create a city of tomorrow. Teams work all winter preparing a model, speech, essay and computer simulation.

The Spanaway team’s students were Carolynn Smith, Walker Ward and Garrett Rennie.
