Help sought in designing learning academy

February 3, 2014

The Tacoma Public School District is hosting a planning meeting to design the district’s first Family & Community Learning Academy, and it invites the public to join the design team.

The academy would offer free session for parents and residents to improve skills to help children succeed in school.

The planning meeting is 2:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCarver Elementary School, 2111 S. J St. The program is sponsored by Peace Community Center, Tacoma Housing Authority and the School District.
