Lions claim safety Abdul-Quddus

Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions claimed safety Isa Abdul-Quddus off waivers from the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.

Abdul-Quddus appeared in 11 games last season as a reserve safety and on special teams, recording 13 tackles. Over three seasons, all with the Saints, he's played in 42 games with 74 tackles and two interceptions.

The Lions also named Tony Oden secondary coach and Matt Raich defensive quality control coach on Tuesday.
