Coral Gables, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Warren scored 27 points and pulled down seven rebounds, as the NC State Wolfpack earned a 56-55 win over the Miami-Florida Hurricanes in Atlantic Coast Conference action at the BankUnited Center.
Ralston Turner contributed 17 points for the Wolfpack (15-8, 5-5 ACC), who have won three of their last four to climb to .500 in conference play
Rion Brown led the Hurricanes (11-12, 2-8) with 20 points, followed by Manu Lecomte with 13 and Garrius Adams with 10.
Turner scored 16 of his 17 points in the first half to help give the Wolfpack an early boost. NCST made 7-of-12 3-pointers in the opening frame to take a 32-26 lead into the break.
Warren, the ACC scoring leader, netted 19 of his 27 points in the second half. However, NCST had to sweat out the victory as it went the final six and a half minutes of regulation without a field goal. Miami's Raphael Akpejiori had a chance to tie the game with 3.5 seconds left but could only get 1-of-2 free throws to fall.
Miami, which shot just 33.3 percent from the floor, dropped to 0-6 in ACC home games on the season.
