Fiscal committees are meeting in advance of a 5 p.m. Tuesday deadline to advance bills before those committees.
A proposal to increase the efficiency of the state lottery will be heard in the House Appropriations Committee at 10 a.m. House Bill 2281, introduced by Rep. Brandon Vick, R-Vancouver, would allow the probability of winning to appear anywhere on tickets and promotional materials rather than only on the back, as current law requires. It also would allow the director of the Washington State Lottery to report revenue annually instead of quarterly.
House Bill 2759 would modify some requirements for ferry vessel construction. Introduced by Rep. Larry Seaquist, D-Gig Harbor, the legislation will be heard at 10 a.m.
