Recap: NC State vs. Wake Forest

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Warren poured in 34 points and collected 10 rebounds to lift the NC State Wolfpack to an 82-67 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in ACC action at PNC Arena.

Ralston Turner added 16 points and Anthony Barber tacked on 10 for NC State (16-8, 6-5 ACC), which has won five of its last six.

Codi Miller-McIntyre netted 15 points to go with seven assists for Wake Forest (14-10, 4-7), which has lost four straight. Devin Thomas and Travis McKie each chipped in 11 points.

Both teams shot well in the first half. NC State connected on 62.5 percent from the floor, including 5-of-11 from 3-point range, to take a 46-38 lead into the locker room. Wake Forest kept it close by shooting 60.9 percent.

After the break both teams cooled off. The Wolfpack sank 40.7 percent of their field goal tries, while Wake Forest turned in a 41.7 percent effort. However, NC State held on by holding scoring advantages from beyond the arc (9-3) and at the free-throw line (11-8).

Although NC State had the scoring edge off of turnovers (23-14), Wake Forest was better in fast break scoring (21-6).
