A man charged with first-degree murder for a stabbing death outside a Fox Island grocery store was arrested Thursday in Flint, Mich.
U.S. Marshals and the state Department of Corrections’ Southwest Community Response Unit took Nevada Lee Pettes, 32, into custody after a tipster told them where Pettes could be found.
Pettes is expected to be extradited to Pierce County to face the first-degree murder charge. Prosecutors said he and another man, Jason Madron, 30, robbed Jacob Glenn of marijuana and money either late Nov. 20 or early Nov. 21 in the parking lot of the Fox Island Grocery and Deli.
Madron is accused of stabbing Glenn, a 23-year-old Gig Harbor resident, once in the chest during a struggle. A customer who stopped to buy gas the morning of Nov. 21 found Glenn’s body.
Madron has already pleaded not guilty to the charge and remains jailed. An arrest warrant was issued for Pettes in late January.
Pettes was featured on the television show “Washington’s Most Wanted” last weekend.
