Fife police looking for robber they say bit homeowner while fleeing

Fife police said a robber bit a homeowner after the woman found her going through her things Tuesday.

The homeowner told police she returned to her apartment to find a screen from her front window on the ground, and a women she didn't know going through her belongings while sitting on her couch.

The unknown woman allegedly told the homeowner she just needed money and didn't want any trouble, then proceeded to bite the homeowner on the top of her head as she tried to get away.

Someone reported that the two women were fighting about 1:30 p.m. outside an apartment in the 6700 block of 20th Street East.

A neighbor who tried to intervene took a cellphone photo of the robber, police said.

Officers searched the area, but did not find any suspects.

The robber is described as as white woman, 5 foot 4, 130 to 140 pounds, with dirty blond/red hair in a ponytail and scabs on her face.

She was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket over a pink camo sweater, with a white hat.
