Teen who died in Auburn crash identified

A teenager who died in a car crash in Auburn Sunday was identified Tuesday.

He was 17-year-old Zhenyu Yang, the King County Medical Examiner's Office said.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. in the 11300 block of Southeast 320th Street, when the vehicle hit a telephone pole.

Firefighters said one person died at the scene, one was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and three people were less seriously injured.

No other vehicles were involved.

Auburn police are investigating the crash. It was not immediately clear Tuesday night if there were updates as to the condition of the critically injured patient, or as to what caused the crash.
