Tacoma city manager reports to council on TNT circulars

Tacoma News TribuneFebruary 21, 2014

The City of Tacoma has posted a report from City Manager T.C. Broadnax following his meeting this week with David Zeeck, publisher of The News Tribune.

Broadnax was directed by the council to meet with newspaper representatives to address community concerns about the newspaper's program to distribute advertising circulars to non-TNT subscribers.

Community members had complained that the bagged circulars were littering neighborhoods and piling up at vacant homes. Newspaper officials have said that they are working on improving delivery and making it easier for residents to opt out of receiving the advertising.

We'll have a fuller story on Sunday.

The News Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
