Sumner's Bonney Lake Bike Shop expanding to Puyallup's South Hill

Tacoma News TribuneFebruary 22, 2014

Bonney Lake Bike Shop plans to open a store on Puyallup’s South Hill as soon as late March, manager Paul Qualey said.

The shop, which has been located in Sumner since 2006, has been pondering the idea of moving to South Hill for several years. “There are a lot of folks up there and it seemed like something was missing,” Qualey said.

South Hill and Puyallup have a combined population of about 90,000, more than all but 11 cities in the state and every South Sound city except Tacoma. The area has one bike shop, Inspired Ride, owned by Nyer Brittain.

The new Bonney Lake Bike Shop will be near the corner of Meridian and 43rd Avenue S.E. and could open by late March or early April, Qualey said.
