Flagstaff, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Troy Huff knocked down 11-of-12 from the free-throw line on his way to 28 points, as North Dakota downed the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, 75-63, in a Big Sky Conference tilt at the Walkup Skydome.
Huff shot 8-of-18 from the field and also added four steals for North Dakota (12-14, 9-7 Big Sky), which has won two of three. Jamal Webb stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists, while Lenny Antwi and Alonzo Traylor were both impressive off the bench with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
For NAU (11-16, 8-8), losers of three straight, Quinton Upshur led the way with 18 points, while Kris Yanku tallied 15 points, five assists and four steals.
The tightly-contested first half ended with NAU holding to a slim 31-30 lead. The Lumberjacks were outshot from the field in the opening 20 minutes, 42.3 percent to 40.7 percent, but they drained 7-of-9 at the free-throw line.
North Dakota improved its field goal shooting to 57.1 percent in the second stanza and pieced together a 25-12 run to separate itself from NAU down the stretch.
North Dakota shot 9-of-19 from 3-point range, while NAU was only 4-of-15 from beyond the arc.
