Man arrested in Tacoma in connection to fatal Renton-area shooting

Staff writerFebruary 23, 2014

Detectives arrested a man in Tacoma Saturday night in connection to a fatal shooting at a Renton-area home last week.

King County Sheriff's officials arrested the 34-year-old about 6 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Hosmer Street, spokeswoman Cindi West said. She said police were still looking for other suspects and would not say what led to the arrest.

Deputies said 27-year-old Ryan Prince was found dead Monday at a home on Lake Desire Drive. They thought he may have interrupted a burglary. The home is owned by proprietors of a medical marijuana business, The Solution, deputies said.

Detectives are looking for a suspect vehicle they think was used in the crime, West said.

It's described as a purple, 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser with Washington license plate AKY8871.

Anyone with information is asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office at 206-296-3311. Callers can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS, which can lead to a reward.
