Country singer Jessica Lynne releases single, plays Jazzbones

Tacoma News TribuneFebruary 24, 2014

Danish Singer-songwriter Jessica Lynne may not be a longtime Pacific Northwest resident - or American resident for that matter - but her unusual background hasn’t hurt her country music career. She released a single today and you can see her live in a couple of upcoming shows.

Lynne came from Denmark three years ago and though that country is more associated with Vikings than cowboys she’s already making a splash on the local music scene.

Her single for London Tone Music, “Calling Me Home,” was produced by Geoff Ott at London Bridge Studio. The song was inspired by how comfortable Lynne feels in the Pacific Northwest. A video is in the works.

Lynne will be playing Jazzbones in Tacoma on March 5 and then she’s opening for Tayla Lynn (the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn) at The Triple Door on March 9. On July 4th she’s the headliner for an Independence Day Celebration in Independence, Ore. that attracts 20,000 people.
