House Democrats' version of the state budget is expected to get a vote Friday in the Appropriations Committee, a day after the Senate cast a bipartisan vote on its own budget plan.

The House budget, House Bill 2185, will be up for a vote at the 1:30 p.m. meeting.

The House transportation budget, House Bill 2762, is up for a vote in the House Transportation Committee's 8 a.m. meeting.

Also at an 8 a.m. hearing, there will be testimony on House Bill 2155 in the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee. Introduced by Rep. Cathy Dahlquist, R-Enumclaw, the legislation would give the state Liquor Control Board more authority to combat theft of hard liquor. A hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m.
