Sex-trafficking awareness event set

The News TribuneMarch 3, 2014

Shared Hope, an international organization that battles sex trafficking, is presenting a free documentary film screening and follow-up discussion at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The 20-minute video, “Chosen,” tells the true story of two All-American girls tricked into the sex trade. The video aims to equip preteens and teens with the skill set to protect themselves and others from being trapped in the sex industry. It will share resources to help educators and school counselors understand the warning signs.

The event will take place in the Wilson High School Auditorium, 1202 N. Orchard St.
