Free outdoor cinema returns to Gig Harbor

Watch Hollywood stars under the stars when Cinema Gig, the free outdoor movie series, returns to Gig Harbor this summer.

The eight movie series that features Friday Night Date Night and Saturday Night Family Night will take place at both Donkey Creek Park and Skansie Brothers Park.

The Friday and Saturday night movies are sponsored by Taylor Thomason Insurance and MultiCare Gig Harbor Medical Park.


This year’s lineup:

ACADEMY AWARD WEEKEND
"The Help" 9:15 p.m. July 11 at Donkey Creek Park
"The Black Stallion" 9:15 p.m. July 12 at Skansie Brothers Park

FOR THE LOVE OF FOOTBALL WEEKEND
"Remember the Titans" 9 p.m. July 25 at Donkey Creek Park
"Little Giants" 9 p.m. July 26 at Skansie Brothers Park

ENVIRONMENTAL WEEKEND
"Big Miracle" 8:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at Donkey Creek Park
"Wall E" 8:30 p.m. August 9 at Skansie Brothers Park

THE CLASSICS WEEKEND
"Jaws" 8:15 p.m. Aug. 22 at Donkey Creek Park
"The Jungle Book" 8:15 p.m. Aug. 23 at Skansie Brothers Park

Start times are approximate as the movies will start when it is darkness falls. Movies will be cancelled during rain or high wind. Bring chairs and/or blankets.
