Crash on SR 507 knocks out power to Roy

UPDATE as of 4:30 p.m.: Crews have restored power to all but 300 customers, and expect everyone to be back on line about 8 p.m., the agency said.

UPDATE as of 1:23 p.m.:

State Route 507 has reopened, but the downed power line has caused an outage in Roy, affecting 1,129 people, according to Puget Sound Energy.

Crews are on scene and electricity should be back on by 6 p.m.

Earlier report: A two-car collision on state Route 507 just north of McKenna is blocking all lanes as crews work to remove live wires on the road, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The crash happened about 12:10 p.m. at SR 507 and 336th Street.

That section of SR 507 is expected to be closed for at least an hour, WSDOT reports.
