A Spanaway couple whose compound was raided Tuesday has pleaded not guilty to various drug and weapon charges.

Pierce County prosecutors on Wednesday charged Elian Gugger, 30, and her boyfriend, Jonathen Phelps, 43, with three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, one count of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, one count of unlawful possession of ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Phelps was ordered jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail. Gugger is jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail. They are now prohibited from contacting each other.

Pierce County sheriff’s investigators said the investigation is ongoing and they are still taking inventory of everything seized from the compound at 31708 72nd Ave. E., between Graham and Eatonville.

Among the items seized are several stolen cars, nearly four pounds of methamphetamine, multiple bottles of Hydrocodone and Alprazolan and crushed Pseudoephrine pills. Detectives also found $6,000 cash and a .380 caliber pistol, according to charging papers.

Gugger and Phelps are both convicted felons and banned from having guns. Phelps allegedly told investigators the gun belongs to his son.
