Jovita Boulevard in Edgewood remains closed due to landslides

Road will be re-assessed Friday morning

Staff writerMarch 6, 2014

The city of Edgewood has extended a temporary road closure.

Officials released a statement Thursday that said Jovita Boulevard will remain closed because of "ongoing slides and saturated unstable slopes."

The road initially closed Wednesday night, and will be re-assessed Friday morning.

"Based on that assessment the road may either stay closed or be re-opened for traffic," the release said. "Emergency and local access will be maintained."
